Bold Expressions 53rd Annual International Open Juried Art Exhibition, Northern California Arts, Inc.
"The Great Triptych" and "Musings Natural" (shown left) were selected for the 2008 "Bold Expressions International Art Competition." An opening will be held October 1st at 5330 Gibbons Drive, Carmichael, CA. Tel: 916-971-3713. The exhibit will run through October 25th.


September 3rd, 2008
"Night Visions" at the Coconino Center for the Arts, Flagstaff, AZ
"Nexus" was selected for the "Night Visions" exhibition. An opening reception will be held Saturday, September 27th from 6:00–8:00 pm at the Coconino Center for the Arts, 2300 N. Fort Valley Road (Highway 180), Flagstaff, Arizona. Tel: 928-523-0499. The exhibit will run through November 6th.


April 7, 2008 Award of Excellence
Scott won an award of Excellence at the Estero Fine Art Show consisting of a ribbon and $100.

Hot Works Fine Art and Crafts Shows is featuring Scott's "Musings Natural Triptych" in a TV commercial promoting the Estero Fine Art Show at the Miromar Outlets in Estero, FL. The TV commercial will air on ABC 7 to promote the Fine Art Show on April 5th and 6th. Here is a frame from the commercial.

Florida Decor Magazine published an article about Scott's artwork in both its print edition and on its web blog: BLOGS: DESIGN TRENDS & IDEAS. The title of the article is "Interior Designers Find Bold-Color Modern Abstracts Strike the Right Balance with Popular Earthy-Tone Furnishings." The article was written by architectural design writer Jim McMahon of Simi Valley, California.

Art Business News featured Scott as an "emerging artist" in both the February 2008 print edition and web edition of the magazine. Art Business News provides industry news, marketing matters and emerging trends that drive sales for art publishers, galleries, solo artists and art-related business.

Menaul Fine Art was accepted to join the 2008 "Palm Art Award" sponsored by Art Domain Gallery in Leipzig, Germany. "The competition seeks to attract in particular emerging artists complying with or even redefining standards of art excellence." Winners of the competition will be selected at the end of 2008.

"New Glory"
Menaul Fine Art was selected to exhibit two pieces at "85@85," a group showing featuring 85 local and international artists at the miArte Gallery in Coral Gables, FL. The exhibit runs from December 1st, 2007 through February 29th, 2008. Scott will be showing, "New Glory" and "Turmoil." An opening reception will be held December 1st at the gallery from 7-10 pm.

Earlier this year we bought a new "FJ Cruiser" and 6' x 12' cargo trailer to be able to travel longer distances with more than twice the amount of artwork to trade shows and art festivals. Here is a recent photo of the new "rig." (larger photo)

"Improvisation in Red" was selected by Habitat for Humanity and donated by Menaul Fine Art for inclusion in a silent auction to raise money for Habitat building projects and the art community throughout Tampa Bay.

Habitat for Humanity seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.
